How this is worked out: Aug 2023 + 18 months = Feb 2025. February 2025 has 28 days (2025 is not a leap year), so day 31 is clamped to the last day, Feb 28. Days: Aug 31 2023 to Aug 31 2024 is 366 (crosses Feb 29 2024), then 30 + 31 + 30 + 31 + 31 + 28 = 181, total 547. Jan 1 2025 is a Wednesday and Feb 28 is 58 days later, 58 mod 7 = 2, so Friday.

Where this comes from

Add a length of time to a date. Years and months are added first, keeping the day of the month or the last day of a shorter month. Weeks and days are then added as whole days.
