What this tool does
Convert seconds to minutes instantly. Enter a number of seconds and see the same time in minutes. Type an amount in seconds, choose the units, and the tool converts it to minutes. It converts between these two time units, in either direction.

- From: Choose one: Second, Minute. Starts as Second.
- To: Choose one of the same 2 units as "From". Starts as Minute.
How to use
- Enter the amount you want to convert.
- Choose the unit to convert from and the unit to convert to.
- Read the result: the converted amount. It appears once every required field has a valid value.
Worked examples
Conversions from seconds to minutes:
- 1 s ≈ 0.0166667 min
- 5 s ≈ 0.0833333 min
- 10 s ≈ 0.166667 min
- 50 s ≈ 0.833333 min
- 100 s ≈ 1.666667 min
Multiply the number of seconds by about 0.0166667 to get minutes. The factor follows from exact definitions. It has more digits than fit here, so it is shown rounded.

Limitations
- Converts a length of time between units. It does not work out the time between two calendar dates.

- Q: How many minutes are in one second?
- A: One second is 1/60 of a minute, about 0.0167 minutes. Change the From and To boxes to convert any other pair of units.
- Q: Can I convert the other way, from minutes to seconds?
- A: Yes. Swap the From and To units. One minute is 60 seconds.
