Results:

  • 10 weeks from the start date: Monday, March 10, 2025
  • Date: March 10, 2025
  • Day of the week: Monday
  • Days moved: 70

How this is worked out: 70 days. Dec 30 + 1 = Dec 31, +31 = Jan 31 (32), +28 = Feb 28 (60, 2025 is not a leap year), +10 = Mar 10 (70). Dec 30 2024 is a Monday and 70 days keeps it Monday.

Example 3. Inputs:

  • Start date: February 20, 2024

Results:

  • 10 weeks from the start date: Tuesday, April 30, 2024
  • Date: April 30, 2024
  • Day of the week: Tuesday
  • Days moved: 70

How this is worked out: 70 days across a leap February. Feb 20 + 9 = Feb 29 (leap year), +31 = Mar 31 (40), +30 = Apr 30 (70). Feb 20 2024 is a Tuesday so the result is a Tuesday.

Example 4. Inputs:

  • Start date: October 8, 2026

Results:

  • 10 weeks from the start date: Thursday, December 17, 2026
  • Date: December 17, 2026
  • Day of the week: Thursday
  • Days moved: 70

How this is worked out: Years and months are added first, keeping the day of the month or the last day of a shorter month. Weeks and days are then added as whole days. This example is computed from that, which is checked against cases worked by hand.
