Results:

  • Time in 5 minutes: 14:35 (2:35 PM)

How this is worked out: 14:30 + 5 min = 14:35, which is 2:35 PM.

Example 2. Inputs:

  • Time now: "23:58"

Results:

  • Time in 5 minutes: 00:03 (12:03 AM)
  • Note: That is on the next day.

How this is worked out: 23:58 = 1438 min. 1438 + 5 = 1443; 1443 - 1440 = 3 min, so 00:03 next day.

Example 3. Inputs:

  • Time now: "11:57 am"

Results:

  • Time in 5 minutes: 12:02 (12:02 PM)

How this is worked out: 11:57 am = 717 min. 717 + 5 = 722 min = 12 h 2 min = 12:02, noon hour so 12:02 PM.

Example 4. Inputs:

  • Time now: "12:00 am"

Results:

  • Time in 5 minutes: 00:05 (12:05 AM)

How this is worked out: 12:00 am is midnight = 0 min. 0 + 5 = 5 min = 00:05.

Limitations

  • Works on clock times only. It does not know about time zones or daylight saving changes.
  • The time now is whatever you type; the tool does not read your device clock.

A: The clock wraps around past midnight and the tool says the result is on the next day.
